Fireside

A Social Virtual Reality environment made for the Global Game Jam around Mental Health.

Fireside is our entry into the Global Game Jam Event hosted in May 2022 with a theme towards mental health and depression. 

Sponsored by DeepWellDtx, whose mission is to transform games into powerful mental health treatments.

Our entry, Fireside, is a small Virtual Reality enabled metaverse that was made to allow a community to get together with others or a licensed therapist to share their experiences anonymously, helping to break the stigma of speaking about such mental health issues.

Fireside consists of a relaxing visual environment around a campfire with soothing sounds, music, and guided meditation audio. Information is scattered around the environment to inform anyone about the space's purpose and a code of conduct to persuade good behavior.
